Save the Grey House!

Who is doing this?

Who is doing this?

You can help by holding the student government representatives listed below accountable for the decision to attack a space that is essential for the survival of so many students at Queen’s. They claim to care about equity and diversity but their move to eliminate EQuIP, Levana and OPIRG from the Grey House explicitly denies support for and actually hurts queer, trans, genderqueer people, people of colour, and women on campus. They should be held responsible.

Call and write to them immediately with questions like these…

  • Do you have other groups assigned to these spaces?
  • If Levana and OPIRG ratify now, would they still be eligible for their space?
  • Do you understand the importance of having a space for marginalized individuals to visit to find confidential support?
  • Do you really think that policy is more important than supporting marginalized students and individuals?
  • Do you know that this decision is negatively impacting the lives of not just the students who work in the Grey House but the hundreds of other students they support?
  • Do you care about queer students? What about women? What about people of colour? Do you understand that this decision indicates that you don’t care?

The president is the CEO and has explicitly stated her support for the decisions the Space Allocation Committee (SAC) has made. The members of the SAC are listed below.
